About us

Datashelter was born in Toulouse in 2023 with the mission of providing a backup solution that’s as simple and accessible as possible, meeting the needs of small and medium-sized businesses.

Our aim is to remove the obstacles to reliable backups, so that our customers gain peace of mind, without breaking the bank. In short, we want to be a no-brainer like Qonto is for professional banking.

That’s why we’ve built our offer around two fundamental elements:

• maximum abstract complexity (no need to be an expert in compression, encryption, deduplication and S3 protocols to benefit from their advantages)
• pricing that’s as clear and predictable as possible

Our teams are based in France 🇫🇷 in Toulouse. More precisely, at the Parc technologique du Canal, close to the new ecosystem dedicated to cybersecurity emerging in Labège, with the Data Valley for example.

We are committed to being a sovereign alternative 🇪🇺 in terms of data hosting. That’s why we work exclusively with European players such as Scaleway and OVHcloud, with whom we have been a proud partner since April 2024.
